And yes, the front and rear are totally separated and, in theory, you shouldn't have to bleed the rear if you only changed a part in the front. Re bleed the MC Avon the bench and removed the switch from the prop valve, shifted the valve manually and installed a prop valve bleeding tool and reinstalled both in the system.
