Breaker keeps tripping microwave
WebMar 24, 2024 · We had to buy a new microwave oven to fit in the space allotted. The problem has existed from the start. I tried the microwave on multiple other circuits with AFCI breakers and they all trip. I swapped wires with the dedicated microwave circuit to test the circuit with a different breaker and it still trips. WebMar 3, 2024 · Replaced the dedicated outlet above microwave once. Checked/re connected the wiring going into the breaker and into the dedicated outlet the microwave plugs into. I've connected the microwave via an extension cord (albeit only 15A rated) to another outlet in the kitchen, microwave didnt trip that breaker once in 3 weeks.
